"HERITAGE" is a documentary series created during a two-week olive harvest volunteer program in Altamura, Puglia. Our group lived with a local family, working seven to eight hours a day in the orchards. While the work was physically demanding, the experience was deeply rewarding and fostered a strong sense of unity.
Although the constant buzzing of electric rakes, echoing melodies of sing-along Disney songs, and grunts of muscle fatigue filled the air each day, these images capture the calm and soothing nature of this lifestyle amidst the intense labor. They document the rolling hills, our communal lunches, and the rich history of our host's family business.
This series aims to showcase the core tropes of this experience: finding peace within commotion, strength within exhaustion, and unconditional love within family.
